My Town on Facebook (and expensive cash)

I'm on level 67 on My Town, a game I play on Facebook (although, recently, I haven't been that active). As you level up, you always get one unit of 'town cash' - it's a game currency that can buy you buildings and other things that are usually not available to buy with 'coins' (=the money you make and collect as you play).

They introduce a few new buildings every week, and naturally, the best ones are always available to buy with town cash only.. If you really want to get the nicest stuff, you'll need to fork out some real money to buy more town cash.

Some months ago, I thought I'd spend around €3 (or such), and make the payment via Paymo (=pay by mobile). However, the service fees would have been more than what I was willing to pay for the town cash itself, so I didn't go through with the purchase.

Today, I thought I'd check the Paymo options again, and selected the biggest bundle available, which would have given me 70 town cash for €8.70. But wait - the service fees would have been €11.30, bringing the total to €20!!! (See the screenshot)

Honestly.. Do people actually PAY these amounts, just to get a few virtual buildings?!? :O (Personally, I would even find the €8.70 very expensive, not to mention the ridiculously high service fees..)

Having said that, I have used Paymo on other Facebook games, never paying more than €3 per purchase, and always getting whatever item or items I was after. So, these ridiculous service fees only seem to apply to My Town.

They can keep their town cash.
