I must send Jen a link to this.. She was living in Ireland some years ago (2005, I think?), and left me her plant when she returned to Canada.. For a few years, I had the plant in the kitchen, and it was doing OK. I would occasionally trim it a bit, so it wouldn't get too big for its spot. Eventually, I decided to move it out and plant it in the garden - and it's been thriving since!
It's on top right in the picture - the darker leaves with some white on them, are the old part, and all the lush green stuff is new growth.. I've no idea what it's called or anything (I call it "Jen's plant"), but it seems to enjoy its current spot..
So, Jen, your plant is still alive! =D
