Roundwood Reservoir (continued from the previous entry)

 
The next stop was Roundwood Reservoir (well, via Roundwood, for chips..) - I don't think I'd ever seen the water so low..

 

 
Below, the first picture is from mid-June (this year). Compare to the picture on top right.. All the meadow flowers were already gone.

 
Above, the second picture is from mid-January 2009, which was the first time I ever went to Roundwood Reservoir. As you can see, there was a bit more water, at the time.. Below, the same spot just over a week ago.

 


Then, the Asylum - as named by myself.. =) That place feeds my imagination, and I've made horror versions of those pictures, which I'll blog separately.. But here are the originals, for comparison.
