I was in Bray harbour, on Saturday afternoon, and saw what looked like something stuck on a swan.. OK, in these photos, you can pretty clearly see that it's actually the swan's foot in a wonky position, but I can't zoom in with my eyes, so that's why I took these pictures - to see it better.

I was just wondering what happened to the poor thing, and should something be done about it? I actually meant to check out the Swan Sanctuary sign, on the way back, and take the number from it and maybe phone them, but then I saw the dolphins, so I have to admit that I forgot.. (I did try the website mentioned on the sign, but it doesn't seem to exist..) Whom do you contact about a swan that might be injured?

An earlier photo of the sign;
If you contact ISPCA they'll either come out to check it out themselves or will get someone who can do it for them
ReplyDeleteSorry for not replying sooner - I have to do it in another browser..
ReplyDeleteI actually asked a local vet, and it turns out that the number on the sign just sends a message to him, and the website doesn't exist (anymore?).. So, I think he might be sorting out some hosting for it, and I might help with the website.
"Ask, and you shall volunteer", lol.. =D
