I've been making a lot of pizza, lately.. It's quick and easy, it suits my shopping schedule (=once a week), it's quite cheap, and it's goooooood.. =D
My favourite pizza base recipe is on a fridge magnet - and I pimp it a little bit.. 200ml water, one sachet of dry yeast, 1tsp salt, 2 tbsp olive oil, about a pint of plain flour (I use a similar size jug to measure them, so no idea how much that would be in grams!), and I'll usually add a bit of garlic powder, and 1tbsp oregano.. I just switch the oven on (200C/fan), and prep everything while waiting for the oven to heat up.
My favourite sauce is like "cheat BBQ" - I mix about 3/5 ketchup, 2/5 sweet chilli sauce, and a few drops of Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce, plus some mild chilli powder, and ground black pepper..
Today, I went OTT with two kinds of pepperoni.. Cheese was mild white cheddar, and I put most of it on the sauce, leaving only some for the top layer..
The dough went a bit crazy, this time, but it was Oh - So - Good...
I left some for tomorrow, which was difficult.. LOL
