Relief and upset

I spent most of the day worrying about a friend (as did many others..), feeling a huge knot in the stomach..

Thank God, things seem sort of OK now, but I will, of course, want to kick the shyte out of him when he's feeling well enough for it =) (How's THAT for love and support?!?)

On balls

We were watching golf (I know - boring..) and discussing sports in general. I put it briefly;

The only thing I can do with balls, is sex, and I suck at that, too.

I hate pontificating 'artists'

I'm going to watch the late repeat of Shortland Street, so I'm having to suffer through About Beauty; Installation artist Dorothy Cross travels to New Ireland near Papua New Guinea to explain the motivations behind some of her more abstract work. Featuring music by Michael Fleming of The Jimmy Cake.

I can't stand artists who pontificate on art. This snobby woman seems to think she's better than the rest of us, and that she knows everything. I could switch off the volume, but even her body language makes it very obvious - head tilted backwards, sneering expression, one hand up in a lecturing position. Yuck.

Besides, no one has the authority to really define art. She clearly disagrees..

I've also always been allergic to artists who go on and on and on, explaining their art, what message they are attempting to portray, etc.. Well, here's a newsflash: if you need to explain it that much, then maybe you've failed in the first place?!

The Sims 3 - Luxury villa by the sea

I made a new modern luxury villa - the design is very simple, but I've customised the colour schemes and made it good for large parties and such..

Mountain stream bliss

I was looking for sounds of rain on youtube, after my own webcam recording didn't sound so good. I found some good ones, and eventually moved on to other sounds of nature. I posted lovely Amazon Rainforest sounds to my Finnish blog, so I'm posting the Mountain Stream from the same youtube channel, above. I'm listening to it now as my background music while I browse FB.. =)
