Playing with blog layout..

I'm just using an old (2005) Venice photo to test the column width.. I got bored with the previous layout, and while changing it, I thought I might as well make the blog wider, so I can post bigger photos and videos..

Tipi project finished!

We're done! =)


We were running out of time, so I helped by printing out some little Sioux people - after all, it wasn't a part of the homework project to actually include people, but H wanted to do it, anyway.. Had it been required, then obviously she would have had to make them herself.

Cotton animal skin (tipi project)

We made a stretcher frame and an "animal skin" today, and some "disco lake".. LOL.. Apparently, whoever builds the best tipi, wins a teddy bear, and H wants to win it for her little brother - awwww..

Tipi finished - some landscaping to do..

We finished the tipi today, and will just add some miniature landscaping, next week.. More photos here.

The door and smoke flaps aren't that authentic as we wanted to leave it open, so it'd be easy to look inside.

H's 5th class tipi project

We had a craft session today, with H. She has to make a tipi, so we made a cereal box base, covered it with miniature landscaping material, and then started to build the tipi. We used eight sticks for the frame poles, and cut the lining material out of H's little brother's old baby outfit (well, it was a body, but using that word in this context made it look a bit grim..). Hot glue is awesome..

I'll post more pics as we continue with the project. The rest of the first photos are on flickr, starting from the material pics.
