Look at this pee cake I made! (Only in Japan...)

As someone put it in the comments;

I can't wait to shit in the public :)

Seriously, though.. Can you imagine preparing your toilet in a public place, putting the bin liner on, and 'getting down to business', while people walk by?!? What a disturbing thought!!! :O

Ulster Bank card-reader

Ulster Bank card-reader Ulster Bank card-reader

I couldn't do anything else than check my balance, on Ulster Bank website, because any other actions required a card-reader. So, since it was free, I ordered one. That was some time ago, and I'd already forgotten it, only it arrived today. Exciting.. LOL.. I bet I'll still have to go to the bank in person, if I want to do anything more than check the balance.. We'll see..

On Vodafone.ie, and where to get those Vodafone settings..?

Sim transfer break @ Molloy's coffee shop
As I mentioned before, I transferred from O2 to Vodafone, a few days ago. So, I thought I'd go and register with Vodafone.ie.

Everything went fine at first - I received my verification code by text, I selected my personal password, I got the login screen.. And then it said that my number and password don't match. WTF?!, I thought.. I was certain that I'd typed it correctly. Soon, I was locked out for 24 hours as the password just wasn't accepted.

I didn't want to wait for 24 hours, just to get the same shyte again, so I phoned their support number. OMG, the amount of menu selections you have to go through, to finally get to talk to a real person.. :O However, when I finally did reach a real person, she was really helpful and lovely =)

My password problem was probably caused by the fact that I didn't originally pick a password that would have been secure enough - my selection had filled three of the four security bars, which was enough for me, but not for Vodafone, apparently.. Anyway, the support person filled in my info, and suggested that I use the "lost password" option when returning to the website. I did so, received another verification code, and got to select a new password - a really secure one, this time..

Unfortunately, I forgot to ask the support person about another problem, and I'm not sure if I'd have it in me to go through all those menu selections again, so I sent an email query instead.. It's about accessing web stuff on the phone.. When I try to do that (OR, when I attempt to send a multimedia message), my phone is set to do it with O2, but now that my number has been transferred to Vodafone, the O2 stuff obviously won't work.. I was trying to find info on how to change my settings to Vodafone services, but no luck yet.. (I haven't googled, though - just browsed the Vodafone website, really..) Not that I even use much web stuff on the phone, but it's nice to know that I can, if I feel like it. I've done the odd Facebook update on the phone, and I've been posting some Twitpics, too.. Now I can't do any of that until I get the new Vodafone settings.

Some foodies, for a change

Tesco mini garlic & coriander naan bread Tesco onion & garlic dip
My appetite has been a bit f*cked, since December, more or less.. I went months with mainly tuna salads and bagels (as any flickr friends or blog readers may have noticed..), and then there was that stressful trip to Finland, etc. Nowadays, I'm not that much into tuna salads anymore, but I'm definitely not "back to normal", either. Can't really face most meats, for example. I used to love rashers, but even the smell is horrible now.

So, it's nice to find something that really makes me want to stuff my face - like these Tesco mini garlic & coriander naan breads, which are just the right size for a toaster, and taste delicious with the Tesco onion & garlic dip! (No, this wasn't sponsored by Tesco - unfortunately!)

Bagels are still good, too. My current favourite is a plain bagel with lettuce, chorizo, cheese, onion & garlic dip, and olives.. Yum!

Not forgetting yogurts.. I've rediscovered them, lately.. This Tesco Swiss black cherry yogurt is my current #1. It's perfect!

Tuesday snaps

Sim transfer break @ Molloy's coffee shop
I've finally uploaded all my Tuesday pictures (well, all the ones that I wanted to upload - out of nearly 400), so here are some.. Above, I was at Molloy's coffee shop, waiting for my O2 to Vodafone transfer to go through, which it did. No problems at all, and so far I'm happy with Vodafone - not that I have any complaints of O2, either, I just transferred for the free phone calls.

New camera & Obama moment

With my new camera (who doesn't have a name yet..) With my new camera (who doesn't have a name yet..)
Here we are - myself and my new Nikon Coolpix P500 =)

My previous camera went all stripey on me, in Finland, and it was agony to be without a proper camera (=using just the phone cam & webcam). So, I really, really wanted to go and buy a new one, although today was perhaps not the best day to pick for it as Barack Obama is visiting Ireland.. However, I checked the bus route, and managed to get almost to St. Stephen's Green with a 145, just having to walk the last bit from Leeson Street. I was going to the Camera Centre on Grafton Street.

I'd been thinking of getting a Nikon CP L120, which seemed OK for the price range I had in mind, but they didn't have those, and they didn't recommend them, either. So, they showed me two better ones that were around the same price. I asked to see the next one up, and that was the one I bought. €450 for the camera, €30 for the 2gb card & camera bag, and €40 for an extra battery as I know I'll need it.

There were gardaí everywhere, and it was bizarre to see normally so busy streets so quiet (as they'd been closed for traffic). I was thinking of staying, to see Obama at 5pm, but it would have meant loitering in Dublin for a few hours, and I didn't have much money left, after buying the camera, so it would have meant a cheapo junk food meal somewhere, etc.. So, I decided to just head home and play with my new camera...

There I was, walking to the DART station, but got Obama-blocked anyway.. And then, guess who drove by! =D It's funny, actually, I've also spotted the whole royal family of Sweden, driving by in Helsinki (90's, I think), and the late Princess Margaret, in London ('89 or '90).

First snaps with my new camera..
