Bray Summerfest organisers have fenced the area around the Seafront bandstand, which seems to be a bit of a gig killer.. It's supposed to be safer this way, but with the no drinks policy and all, most people tend to stay in the big pubs across the road, so I feel for the bands, having to play to people who are mainly across the road. I doubt there'd be any riots if there was no fencing, to be honest.. =)
It had been ten years or so, since I last saw The Back Doors live - time flies! :o Anyway, they were great in the Harbour Bar, all those years ago, and they were good on the Seafront, on Sunday.
As you can see, some of my pics are not so good, but I'm sharing them all, anyway =P Below, the first of two videos.. Pardon the shakes, I had to hold the camera up to try and avoid people's heads, and almost eleven minutes is a long time to hold a camera up..
It was getting dark, and I got to test the Dusk setting on my newish camera =D (Safer option, at this point, than going more manual..)
I think, the previous time I went to see a gig on my own, was back in '97 when I was visiting Finland and discovered that Leningrad Cowboys were performing at Hartwall Arena! I actually really enjoyed not having to chat with anyone, and getting to take pictures in peace..

Unfortunately, I didn't really have a chance to be prepared for the above photo.. I noticed the plane, and wanted it in the same picture with the bandstand.. The plane ended up looking like a smudgy dot, though! Not to mention the plane picture below.. LOL
Between the two pictures above, I shot the second video (below). Unfortunately, I've only 2GB memory card in my camera, and having taken fun fair pictures already, meant that there was only so much memory left.. (That first video was 10:55 minutes and over 1GB, after all..) VERY bad timing, but there was nothing I could do.. Had it been the battery, I'd have been grand as I have a spare one, but not another memory card - yet.
I got a few more pics until the camera said No..
And that was my Sunday evening.
